Mums & Bubs Semi-Private Training

What Makes WVF Mums & Bubs Different?

Baby-Friendly Every Step of the Way

Trainers who are real parents
Sessions are coached by dad Wayne, alongside mums Alex and Dani. We are all parents of young children and we understand postnatal bodies, baby unpredictability, and what parents actually need.

Truly baby-friendly training
Babies are welcome in prams, a playpen, or held during specific safe exercises. Feeding, settling, nappy changes and cuddles are all part of the session – no judgement, no pressure. We’ll have a change mat and some baby change essentials available.

The Baby Station
A dedicated training area with a whiteboard of safe exercises you can do while holding your baby, giving you options when bub needs you close.

Small group, personalised coaching
With just 2–6 parents per session, coaches can modify exercises, provide individual guidance, and support you properly.

Postnatal-focused programming
Every session prioritises safe strength training, core stability, breathing, and long-term progress – not exhaustion.

No judgement, no pressure

  • This program is designed for mums who want to return to exercise in a safe, supportive, and flexible way after having a baby. Whether you were active before pregnancy or are starting fresh, sessions are scaled to suit your experience, energy levels, and stage of recovery.

If you’re looking for a welcoming environment where babies are genuinely welcome and you’re supported by coaches who understand postnatal bodies and parent life, Mums & Bubs is likely a great fit.

  • Every parent’s recovery is different, and we always prioritise safety.
As a general guideline, many mums begin gentle exercise around 6 weeks post-partum following medical clearance, but this can vary depending on your birth and recovery.

If you’re unsure whether you’re ready, we encourage you to get clearance from your GP, obstetrician, or women’s health physiotherapist. You’re also welcome to contact us to discuss your individual situation before booking.

  • Mums & Bubs sessions run Monday to Friday at 9:30am and 10:45am.

We also offer a Saturday Parents Workout at 10:00am, where both mums and dads are welcome to train together with their babies in a relaxed, family-friendly environment.

  • Your baby’s safety is our top priority. Sessions are designed to be genuinely baby-friendly, with multiple safe options available throughout the workout.

Babies can rest in a playpen, remain in a pram, or be settled in a bouncer or seat that you bring along. We also offer a selection of carefully chosen exercises that can be performed while holding your baby, always prioritising control and comfort.

Our gym is fully heated and cooled to help keep babies comfortable year-round, and coaches are always on hand to guide safe exercise choices for both you and your baby.

  • Babies cry, need feeds, cuddles, and sometimes just want to be close to you.

If your baby becomes unsettled, you’re free to pause, pick them up, feed, settle, or step aside as needed. Our coaches will help you modify exercises or suggest baby-holding options so you can continue safely when you’re ready.

There’s no pressure, no judgement, and no expectation that babies are “quiet” or “easy”. Every parent in the room is in the same stage of life – we’re all in it together.

We will provide a change mat and some basic change essentials for your convenience.

  • We completely understand – life with a baby can change quickly.
If something comes up and you can’t make it to your session, you’re welcome to reschedule into another Mums & Bubs class that same week, subject to availability.

If the Mums & Bubs times don’t suit you in a particular week, you can also attend one of our regular semi-private sessions instead. We’re all about flexibility and helping you stay consistent, without added stress.

Mums & Bubs runs on rolling sign-ups with a minimum 4-week commitment. If you need to cancel ongoing sessions, 2 weeks’ notice is required.

  • We recommend that all participants have medical clearance before returning to exercise postnatally. This may be from your GP, women’s health physio, or obstetric care provider.

If you’re unsure whether you’re ready to begin, we’re happy to chat and help guide you on the best next step before starting.

Meet our Trainers

Wayne Veitch

  • Becoming a parent has given Wayne a deeper understanding of how challenging it can be to prioritise movement once a baby arrives. Watching his wife navigate feeding schedules, broken sleep, and the mental load of early parenthood has highlighted just how difficult it can be to fit exercise into a day that revolves around a baby’s needs.

Wayne loves training parents because it combines coaching with connection – creating an environment where people feel supported, understood, and encouraged rather than pushed or judged. His approach focuses on safe, structured training that fits around real life, rather than expecting parents to fit into rigid schedules.

In Mums & Bubs sessions, parents can expect calm, personalised coaching with a strong emphasis on postnatal-safe strength, core stability, and controlled movement. Wayne’s goal is to make training feel achievable and welcoming, so parents can show up as they are – babies, broken sleep, and all.

Alex Wheatley

  • Like many parents, Alex knows how easy it is to put your own needs last after having a baby. She loves being part of a parent’s day when they’re doing something just for themselves, and is passionate about helping mums regain confidence in their bodies after giving birth. One of her favourite parts of coaching is connecting with other parents and sharing stories about life with babies and kids.

Alex’s sessions are calm, welcoming, and confidence-building, creating a welcoming space where parents feel comfortable to move, laugh, and show up exactly as they are. Her approach is grounded in female-focused training, with a strong understanding of pre- and postnatal exercise and women’s health.

As a mum, Alex brings plenty of real-life experience to her coaching – including the months where Freya would only fall asleep if Alex was squatting, deadlifting, or even heading out for a light jog. It’s a reminder that parenthood is busy, unpredictable, and often physical, and that movement doesn’t need to be perfect to be valuable.

Mum to Freya
  • As a new parent herself, Dani understands the physical and mental challenges that come with life after having a baby – from broken sleep and body changes to finding the time and energy to look after yourself. She’s passionate about supporting parents to prioritise self-care and build healthy habits that support long-term wellbeing.

Dani loves training parents for the strong sense of community it creates, bringing together people navigating a similar stage of life to motivate and encourage one another. Her sessions are fun, energetic, and supportive, with plenty of variety and a holistic approach to health and fitness.

Parents can expect post-partum-safe training with a focus on strength, core stability, and Pilates-inspired movements to support recovery and reduce the risk of injury. Dani’s goal is to help parents feel confident in their bodies again and supported as they return to exercise in a safe, welcoming environment.
